Maroš Klátik

Maroš KLÁTIK is a prominent soloist and chamber player in Slovakia and abroad. He studied at the Conservatory Bratislava, Janacek Academy in Brno and Music Academy in Bratislava – PhD.
He is a winner of several international competitions (International Competition of Young Performers 2006 – Vienna /Austria/, Kaukko Sorjonen Foundation 2008 – Jyväskylä /Finland/, Yamaha Music Fundation of Europe YMFE 2008 – Brno /Czech Republic/).

He participated in the master classes focused on the interpretation of German and French compositions in Lübeck (Germany) and the master classes in Meissen (Germany) where he achieved Rotary Club Award. In 2007 he won scholarship at Hochschule für Musik in Dresden (Germany) in the class of Arkadi Zenziper.

He performed as the soloist with many prominent Slovak and foreign orchestras, e. g. Moravian Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic, Slovak State Philharmonic, Slovak Sinfonietta, Slovak Chamber Orchestra.

He performed as the soloist and chamber player at many music festivals, e. g. Janacek festival in Brno (Czech Repuplic), Pianoforte fest Meissen (Germany), Pazaislio muzikos festivalis Kaunas (Lituania), Chopin festival Gaming (Austria), Bratislava music festival.

On the present he specializes in the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and the authors of 20th century. His first profile CD was released in 2014 and it contained the pieces of the Slovak composers.

He performed in many European and Asian countries and in the USA. He was a pedagogue at Janacek Academy in Brno and Music Academy in Bratislava. Currently he is engaged in the Music Academy in Banska Bystrica.
